Concrete

• Plywood sheathing on roof rather than wafer board; allows increased weight bearing capacity

Insulation

 

• R-19 exterior wall insulation; optional R-24

• R-50 ceiling insulation throughout home; code requires R-38

• Blown cellulose insulation over batt insulation on all sloped ceilings to fill any and all voids

• Windows, electrical boxes, and doors are sealed in place with urethane foam, eliminating air, dirt, and allergen infiltration

• Any opening from a heated area to an unheated area (holes for wiring, plumbing, etc.) is sealed and insulated

• All plumbing lines marked in order to avoid nail holes and future leaks

• All spec homes have roughed in basement plumbing to allow for future finish

• Top quality garbage disposal operates more quietly and is more powerful than other builders’ standard models

• Shock absorbers installed on all lines located at tubs, showers, and laundry boxes

• Two self-draining, freeze protected exterior faucets

• Pedestal sink in powder room

• Water saving elongated stools in all bathrooms

• Sound deadener on all lines and special hangers provide quiet operation of all plumbing throughout the house
