This 10' diameter ceiling dome was installed in the Virtual Villaminium at The Cliffs in Aboite Township, Fort Wayne, Indiana by Masterpiece Homes and Renaissance Ceiling Domes


     This 10' diameter architectural ceiling dome was installed in the Virtual Villaminium at The Cliffs in Aboite Township, Fort Wayne, Indiana by Masterpiece Custom Homes and Renaissance Ceiling Domes.  Mark Hoerner, owner of Renaissance Ceiling Domes, personally supervised the installation of the dome on site at The Cliffs.  It is located in the stair rotunda and has a clear ceiling height of 27 feet.  There is a two tier RGB LED lighting system installed and operated by the Lutron Home Automation system.  Both the oculus and tray lights are dimmable and are operable independently from each other.   The Lutron Home Automation system tracks the sun according to longitude and latitude.  Coordinating with the calendar and the local time zone, the dome, along with other lights such as the LED Color Kinetics, glow orange for 20 minutes at sunrise and sunset each day to simulate the glow on the horizon.

    Architectural ceiling domes of this quality have a typical price range of $800 to $1,200 per foot of diameter.  The difficulty to manufacture a specific style ceiling dome can either increase or decrease this cost.  On site custom installation is also available.  Turn key for the builder.  Easy and beautiful for the homeowner.
